Session 02: Mountain Culture

This session celebrates people deeply rooted in place — farmers, artists, guides and dreamers whose lives are shaped by the landscapes they inhabit.

From Icelandic sheep musters and a Chamonix mill brimming with creative spirit, to a Mongolian girl mastering eagle hunting and an Angolan village forever changed by two young brothers’ climb, these films honour culture, tradition and community. An adventurer recreates Mont Blanc’s first female ascent in period gear, a Greenlandic Inuit guide reimagines tourism on his own terms, and a lone dreamer chases an elusive summit.
